"We said it before but we are going to say it again. This contest attracts the best and the most serious songwriters and the judges had great difficulty in selecting winner and finalists this year so please don’t feel dejected if you did not receive the high score or position you were hoping for. Our judges have listened to tens, if not hundreds of thousands of songs, in a professional capacity, and being chosen by them as a winner or Finalist or Semi Finalists or to selected as a Commended Entry shows that you have talent. If your song didn't make it past Participant status this year don't be discouraged - just re write parts of it and improve on it. Songwriters are sensitive souls and they can get easily discouraged - don't let this happen to you. Please remember that in the end it must always come down to personal opinion and taste, and you alone should ultimately be the judge of your own work and abilities. Be proud of your work. To have written a complete song that is worthy of entry into a contest like this, and then to go ahead and actually enter it, is a great achievement in itself. You should be proud of yourself, because you have already proven that you have what it takes"
